One of the great things about New Haven is it's location: less than 2 hours from NYC, and only 2-3 hours from Boston. As I learned today, it's also only about 3 hours (by bus!) away from some great skiing/snowboarding at Okemo Lodge. Kids that made my day:1) Volunteering at the hospital this morning, one little girl (1.5 years or so) was bawling her head off for a good half hour (while all the other kids in the recovery room were asleep or quiet). Having Halloween on a Wednesday this year made it like a week-long celebration rather than just one day. 13 cool people + 10 days = 1 amazing trip! Reach Out Jamaica 2007 was an incredible experience, especially since it was my first time out of the country. Teaching third-graders about other countries and making flags, talking to people about heart disease at the health fair, learning about Jamaican culture, and just getting to know 12 other awesome Yalies made my spring break quite the journey.
